Valerie Ni Loinsigh is a professionally trained actor and writer. (B.A. Hons from Trinity College, Dublin)
She presented her first academic paper at The ISTR conference, 2017 in the University of Nottingham.

She lived in New York for a year 2015/16 on a Graduate visa where she appeared in three different Off-Broadway productions and worked as a Site Director and Teaching Artist for Wingspan Arts. As a professional writer, she has had her work produced Off-Broadway and, an excerpt from her play, 'Gilligan's Survivors' was performed at the launch of 'The Dionysian' magazine in Brooklyn in 2016. She is currently co-creating new comedy series, titled "Notions." with award-winning film-maker Eoghan McQuinn. This was recently selected for Mediacon Global Entertainment Summit, 2017 and they have articles coming out with GCN/The Outmost, Salon.com and The Evening Echo. She was selected for the Abbey Theatre Pop-Up Playwriting Series and the Galway Fringe in 2015.
She is an award-winning comedian who has performed at The Trinity Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Indiependance Comedy Festival, The International Comedy Club and Broadway Comedy Club. She is developing a new style of performance called 'stand-up commedia'.
She is a fluent and enthusiastic Irish speaker. She appeared on TG4's 'GIG' in 2013 as a comedy mentor and was awarded an Irish scholarship and fainne oir by Trinity College, Dublin.
She is a classically trained pianist and holds an honors Grade 8 qualification in Classical Piano from the Royal Irish Academy of Music.
